The birth of the Association of Sibiu Salami Producers is, first and foremost, a guarantee that consumers will always be able to have the best-quality Sibiu salami.
Carmen Gavrilescu, President of the Association of Sibiu Salami Producers
The prowess of the artisans who passed down the genuine Sibiu salami recipe from one generation to the next, the respect for tradition and the mastery involved in making a product that has a history dating back to more than 100 years ago are an inspiration for all of today’s major producers.
Established on May 7, 2014, the Association of Sibiu Salami Producers includes the only companies that are allowed to make and sell the genuine product: Agricola Bacău, Aldis Călărași, H&E Reinert Brașov, Salsi Sinaia, and Scandia Romania.
The Association’s Mission is to defend the Protected Geographical Indication and support the sustainable development of production, as well as to support producers both nationally and internationally.
